The Summit Collection is an enclave of 25 estate-style homes situated in the rolling hills of the Five Canyons neighborhood, known for its proximity to outdoor recreation areas, top-performing schools, and convenient access to commute corridors. The 57-acre development by Trumark Homes will feature three spacious Craftsman-style floor plans oriented to maximize sweeping views of the Bay Area and surrounding wooded areas from large front and rear porches.
Ground originally broke for the development back in 2006, with the CalWalls team actively installing the many retaining walls necessary to stabilize the hillsides. Unfortunately, the project lost funding shortly thereafter, and all work was suspended in 2007.
Over 15 years later, when Trumark Homes revived the project they reached out to CalWalls as their top choice to finish the walls. Despite sitting for more than a decade in an unfinished state, the quality of our work held up! Honored to be invited back to the halted project, our crews were pleased that construction looked solid and ready to progress towards completion.
Because the hillside location requires extensive slope reinforcement and is positioned close to property lines, retaining walls were constructed with cost-effective, reliable keystone block on drill piers reinforced with concrete. Rocky soil conditions, foundation requirements, and tight clearance areas demanded exceptional craftsmanship and precision. GS2 block was used for the monument signage at the development entrance.
